Environmental improvement workshop toilet renovation

Workshop toilet is one of the essential facilities in the daily life of employees, which has an important impact on the corporate image and employee efficiency. Due to the long service life, lack of design and configuration, aging and damage of equipment and facilities, the first-phase workshop toilet of our company has become a typical dirty and bad area.

This deteriorating environment directly leads to customers shaking their heads when visiting, employees shaking their heads when using, cleaning and maintenance. The use of complaints on the way, the management of money and effort, regional transformation is imperative.

To this end, from October 2023, after more than 1 month, we have completely transformed the first-phase workshop toilet, and it has been put into use. This article shares some results of the transformation with you.

Since the building and regional functions of the workshop are fixed, this renovation is to demolish the old and build the new on the basis of the original, using the original overall layout and optimizing the details.

In terms of detail transformation and optimization, we mainly did the following work.

1 Improve the lack of privacy

The door used in the old toilet is a very old-fashioned plastic steel door, and it cannot be installed due to the impact of the site. Many employees have the habit of not liking to close the door, and the door can not be completely restored after a long time, which leads to the toilet door is often wide open, which is harmful to the taste and image.

In this renovation, we chose stainless steel free door, which can automatically return both inside and outside, not only to protect privacy, but also to increase security, but also convenient maintenance and cleaning.

2 Improve the problem of odor return

The old toilet has an old-fashioned drainage trench, which is easy to mix with debris leading to pipeline blockage, and long-term accumulation of dirt leads to a foul odor.

In this renovation, we have replaced all the drainage pipes, toilets and floor drains, and adopted a fully concealed arrangement to solve the problems of easy blockage and odor return.

3. Improve poor ventilation

The ventilation fan of the old toilet has a air volume of only 200m³/h, and there is no external pipeline, so the ventilation effect is better than nothing.

In this renovation, we selected a super quiet pipeline fan with a air volume of 1200m³/h, increased the number of air hoods, and connected an external air valve, which greatly increased the speed and frequency of air exchange, successfully discharged the odor of the toilet, and improved the ventilation effect.

4 Improve the use of partitions

The partition of the old toilet is the old-fashioned melamine board partition, and the support foot is simple at the bottom. Due to the poor mildew and moisture resistance of the partition board, it has been deformed in many places; The support foot is not enough, resulting in shaking of the door panel, not only inconvenient to use, but also a security risk.

In this renovation, we selected high-quality aluminum honeycomb partition plate and base, which is characterized by mildew, moisture and deformation prevention, increasing the firmness and safety of the facility, and improving the durability of the facility.

We have also optimized the ease of use and cleaning, the use status of the door lock is displayed, the door panel can be automatically closed, and the aluminum door panel is more resistant to dirt and easier to clean.

5. Improve hand-washing queues

There is only one wash basin in the old toilet, which leads to the phenomenon of often queuing up to wash hands.

In this renovation, we chose stainless steel double basin stand, so that employees can use it more efficiently, and also reserved hot water socket, which is convenient to further improve the demand.

6. Improve toilet paper waste

Toilet paper waste is an old topic, the old toilet is used with old cardboard boxes and toilet paper, the staff is very inconvenient to use, grab is a handful, the toilet is scattered everywhere, the cleaning staff has been complaining of uncontrollable waste is very serious.

In this transformation, we selected a paper box, and purchased water-soluble paper on the basis of no increase in cost and no reduction in quality. It is more convenient for employees to use, and the usage has decreased, both convenience and economy have been improved.

7. Improve smoking regulation

Except for the designated smoking area, the rest of the company is completely non-smoking. Smoking in the toilet will directly affect the health of others, the overall environment and the safety of enterprises, if we can not prevent such bad behavior, over time the new toilet will become a "shaking head" place.

To this end, we configured a smoke control alarm device in this transformation, which can be instantly connected to the work mobile phones of managers and janitors, so that employees can use the toilet more civilized, healthier and safer.

This transformation has effectively solved many problems existing in the old toilet, in addition to the above main improvement points, in other aspects have also been improved, such as the reasonable configuration of mop cleaning pool and water intake taps.

Through the on-site survey, the staff's sense of experience and satisfaction with toilet use have been significantly improved, and the on-site environment and use efficiency have also been significantly improved. In terms of more details, such as cultural promotion, cleaning tools positioning, etc., we will continue to improve.
